From 22 March 2020 we are suspending all classes

Dear Parents and Students

We just heard the news about a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Glendowie College. Our Board of Directors has also recommended that we close classes because we are a non-essential activity. Unfortunately, we will suspend our classes immediately, while the community locks itself down.

What can I do to practise Taekwon-Do?

We are publishing a series of training videos on our website to help you practise at home. Children, ensure you ask your parents first!

You can find our training videos here, https://glendowie.com/dojang/. You can also find a useful summary of online classes at COVID-19 classes.

There is a combination of created and curated videos, and we add new content regularly (every couple of days). If you find any useful training videos online, please email the links to Master Banicevich.

What about training fees

We believe that our online training classes are worth at least half of your normal fees. Some of the costs of running our school will continue to be incurred. While training fees will be placed on hold, we appreciate anybody who is willing to pay half of their usual fees during this period.

As an additional bonus, anyone who pays full April training fees by 2 April 2020 will receive two Taekwon-Do books to help them continue learning and practising (value $40):

  • The Pattern Workout Book, and
  • Self-defence coloured belt syllabus handbook.

What if I paid training fees in advance?

If you paid training fees in advance, we will automatically extend your prepayment period to account for the time training fees are on hold.

If you would like to pay half training fees during this time (thank you), please email Master Banicevich so he can adjust our records. Do the same if you would like to pay full fees in April and receive the free books mentioned above.

Unprecedented times

We are in unprecedented times, and all of the world are proceeding as best we can.

We hope that your family are safe and financially secure, and that the pandemic passes as quickly as possible for all of us. Keep safe, everyone, and please remember your humanity during this difficult time – keep your physical distance, but remember to be nice to each other!

Best wishes.
