Many of you recently graded. Ensure you print your grade’s syllabus sheet and bring it to every training session with your training notebook.
These sheets are so you can keep track of how you are progressing towards grading. Before or after class, take your sheet to your class instructor, and demonstrate your capability in one or two of the items listed. If you are ready, your instructor may sign and date one of the cells to indicate your progress.
In this way, you can see how you are progressing towards your next major grading.
Your training notebook is for you to write your own notes or draw diagrams or pictures to help you remember what you have learned so far. When you’ve trained as long as me, you’ll have many of these books filled with notes, ideas, tips, concepts – it’s amazing to look back on them and remember training exercises, and tips to help me improve.
Remember – the more we practise, the better we get!
