Regional Tournament entries close 1 September!

The combined Counties Manukau and Auckland North Regional Tournament is on Sunday 11 September. It is just around the corner at the AMI Netball Centre, 7 Allison Ferguson Drive, St Johns!

The details are here. To enter, login to the ITFNZ website (www.itkd.co.nz), and tournament entries are in the bottom right corner. Don’t delay, enter now!

There are divisions for all Taekwon-Do students! Young children can compete in patterns/fundamental movements, non-contact free sparring, power punch (hitting a pad for distance) and flying high kick.

Don’t delay, enter new! This will be a fantastic event – over 200 competitors have already registered!

Get together in a big Glendowie group on the day, and show everyone our club spirit! The organisers will also need helpers, so please volunteer to help wherever you can. It takes many volunteers to help these tournaments run, and no prior experience is required. To volunteer to help, email itfnzan@gmail.com.

If you need free sparring gear for the tournament (and for training), be sure to order it from me this week.

Instructor Induction Course

Blue belts and above, you are eligible to complete the Instructor Induction Course. This course is compulsory before you are eligible to grade to black belt.

The course contains online prework, and a follow-up session in-person. The next in-person session is Sunday 16 October at Maraetai Beach School. Register here.
