Don’t miss the National Camp, and training resumes next week!
Hi Parents and Students
Don’t miss the National Camp!
If you haven’t already, look at the information about the National Camp here. Camps are tremendous fun, a great way to meet Taekwon-Do practitioners from around the country – and a few international guests – and an excellent way to get pumped for the year of Taekwon-Do ahead!
- 3-5 February 2023
- Tui Ridge Park in Rotorua
- open to all ranks and ages – older children, youths and adults especially!
We also have a guest instructor coming from Ireland – Master Adrian Byrne. Master Byrne is Chair of the ITF Coaches Committee, and a very successful Taekwon-Do coach. Don’t miss your chance to learn from such an outstanding individual!
There are also seminars with Master Byrne on 1 and 2 February 2023 at MMC in Ellerslie. Details are here. The first workshop is open to black belts (instructors and assistant instructors); the second workshop is open to red belts and above. Don’t miss it!
Summer classes begin 17 January
Summer classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays for three weeks from Tuesday 17th January to Thursday 2nd February. These classes are held in Vellenoweth Green, under the big tree on Tamaki Drive:
- children 8 years and under (including Kubz), 5pm-6pm;
- children 9 years and over and adults, 6:00pm-7:30pm.
Bring a friend or two, and have fun doing Taekwon-Do with your friends!
This is a lovely time of year to train outside. Wear training shoes, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. Bring your family, and have a picnic dinner after training, or pop to the beach for a swim!
Our regular schedule of classes in our regular venues will resume on Tuesday 7th February (after Waitangi Day).
We look forward to seeing you on 17 January!
