Recorded Zoom classes the week of 11 October 2021

The links to our schedule of 9 Zoom classes each week is here. Recordings of this week’s classes are below. We have four children and junior grade classes, two adult and senior grade classes, one for Taekwon-Do Kubz, one for parents and children, and one for the Boosabum Development Squad.

Monday 11 October 2021, children and junior grades

Theory quiz, folding the dobok, warm up, fundamental movements, 3-step sparring for 7th gup, shadow sparring a chair, saju jirugi, saju makgi, Chon-Ji, Dan-Gun, quick warm down.

Monday 11 October 2021, Boosabum Development Squad

Dr Valles with training tips and equipment to use at home, patterns Chon-Ji to Hwa-Rang, 1-step sparring (own syllabus alone), warm down and stretch.

Tuesday 12 October 2021, children and junior grades

Basic footwork, free sparring drills, free sparring drills mirror, shadow sparring a chair, saju jirugi, saju makgi, Chon-Ji, warm down and stretch.

Tuesday 12 October 2021, adults and senior grades

Joint rotations, basic kicks to warm up, ground movement, kicking from the ground, falling and standing safely, patterns Chon-Ji to Choong-Moo, warm down and stretch.

Wednesday 13 October 2021, children and junior grades

Warm up, walking as different things (stiffness and relaxation), walking stance punch (stiffness and relaxation), how to move the body (outcurve line, relax and tense, use the hip, pull back the other hand), apply these principles to saju jirugi, saju makgi, Chon-Ji, Dan-Gun, 3-step sparring alone (9th and 8th gup), make a fist and a knifehand, warm down and stretch.

Thursday 14 October 2021, children and junior grades

Warm up including basic kicks, fundamental movements linework, saju jirugi, saju makgi, Chon-Ji, Do-San, releasing techniques (yellow belt syllabus).

Thursday 14 October 2021, adult and senior grades

Joint rotations, basic movements to warm up, fundamental movements for own grade (asking questions), patterns Choong-Moo to Chon-Ji, warm down and stretch.

Saturday 16 October 2021, Taekwon-Do Kubz

Memory warm up, teamwork at home, punches and front kicks (air, cushion, reaction time), name and address, excuse me I’m lost, stop it I don’t like it, spinning kicks, memory reprise, healthy food, Kubz manual.

Saturday 16 October 2021, parents and children

Joint rotations, line work for white belt, fundamental movements of saju jirugi and saju makgi, saju jirugi and saju makgi, releasing techniques low same side grab and low cross grab, warm down and stretch, using the syllabus book.
