Basic blocks

Hi everyone (particularly Mums and Dads)

Parents often ask me for ways they can help their children practise at home. One simple thing children can do is practise crossing for blocks.

Children can practise how to cross while sitting, or even while watching TV!

What this does is strengthen neutral pathways until students cross correctly without thinking – that is the goal. When they first start, and every so often during practice, they just need someone to check that they are still crossing correctly.
